John Franklin Bolt (19 May 1921 – 8 September 2004) was a naval aviator in the United States Marine Corps and a decorated flying ace who served during World War II and the Korean War. William Richard Charette (March 29, 1932 – March 18, 2012) was a United States Navy master chief hospital corpsman who received the nation’s highest military decoration for valor, the Medal of Honor. Ray Gallagher- ( died May 1, 1999) Part of the Nagasaki bombing mission. Asst Flight Engineer. Jessica Dawn Lynch (born April 26, 1983) is a former United States Army soldier who served in the 2003 invasion of Iraq by U.S. and allied forces. First American woman POW. R.W. McClurg- (Feb 9,1919-Jan 20,2007) Part of the Black Sheep squadron. The squadron is best known as the Black Sheep of World War II fame and for one of its commanding officers, Colonel Gregory “Pappy” Boyington, whose memoirs also inspired the 1970s television show Baa Baa Black Sheep.
