Cornelius McGillicuddy (1862 – 1956), better known as Connie Mack, was an American professional baseball catcher, manager, and team owner. The longest-serving manager in Major League Baseball history, he holds records for wins (3,731), losses (3,948), and games managed (7,755). Mack was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, New York, in 1937. Signed letter from 5/25/1937 while Mack was President of the Philadelphia A’s. The letter appears to have been affixed to a heavier paper and was in an album. It measures 6.5” x 7”. There are folds in the letter that are captured in the photo.
